Jeffrey J. Zahrt

Jeff is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is also the Owner and operator of Z-Music DJ’s. Jeff has been performing as a mobile Disc Jockey in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area since 1985. His background and experience is rooted in radio. Jeff graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1988 with a BA degree in Broadcast Communications. Jeff spent three years at the student run radio station while in college serving in such capacities as Morning DJ, Program Director and Music Director. Jeff’s mobile experience comes from doing numerous weddings, corporate parties, proms, homecomings, private parties, class reunions and club work. Jeff always has a rhythm in his head, and is usually moving to some groove.

Lane McMullen

Disc Jockey

Lane is a native of Des Moines, Iowa. Lane currently works in Iowa City, while living in North Liberty, Iowa. Lane has been under the direction of Jeff, assisting Z-Music Since 2000. Lane is responsible for all PC based support and design, housing the main Windows-based music inventory for Z-Music. Lane is also responsible for programming the lighting and also does some music programming. Lane graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BME in Music Education. His experience comes not only from doing weddings and parties, but from studying and performing all styles of music composed within the last century. Lane is always one who is willing and ready to “wiggle”. Simply put the tunes on and away he goes.
